We’re proud to be more than just a landlord. Last year, we invested over £12.8m in our communities, helping more than 32,500 people in need.
This money meant we could support community organisations in providing things like food pantries, money advice, activities for children and teenagers, and social clubs for older people.
But we know that times are still tough for many. Over the past few years, people asking for food vouchers have more than tripled, and people asking for help buying white goods have increased by two-thirds. Hyde Charitable Trust (HCT) gave 1,000 Hyde households this type of help last year.

Helping with essential items |
Essential appliances for cooking, washing and refrigeration can be expensive and, without them, living costs can increase significantly. Along with furniture and carpets, help for buying appliances was the second most requested support from HCT last year. |

We’ve teamed up with National Energy Action to help customers struggling to pay their energy bills. |

Long term support for our community partners |
Our community partners provide local services that support our customers to create successful and resilient lives. From youth programmes, and jobs and workplace training, to advice and support services, our partners play a key role across all our communities. So, it’s important that we continue to support them.
